Partnering with the Placer County Parks Division and The Dry Creek Conservancy, the Placer RCD proposed a plan for a 1200-foot Pollinator Hedgerow along the walking path that borders the municipal park and continues along the northern boundary of the park. With the assistance of the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, 204 California native plants were donated to establish the pollinator hedgerow. The placement of this pollinator hedgerow has not only helped restore habitat for pollinators but has provided milkweed and nectar within the Western Monarch’s first stopover zone during their eastward migration. With the help of our partners and the community, we continue to help maintain the quality of this habitat.
Doyle Ranch Park is a 25-acre park located in the southwestern portion of Roseville, CA, that stretches up to the banks of Dry Creek. This property is owned by Placer County and houses a 4-acre municipal park with the remaining space occupied by a 10-year-old oak woodland.
