Placer and Nevada County Resource Conservation Districts recently partnered with Ron Gray, a private landowner in Nevada City, for a 2-acre prescribed burn on his property. We were so delighted by the turnout of folks interested in this educational opportunity, and were awed by the expertise brought by Jo Ann Fites of Nevada County RCD, PRCD’s long-time partner Chris Paulus and team member Cordi Craig, and Fire Safe Council of Nevada County.
We look forward to our continued partnership with Nevada County RCD as they continue to grow their prescribed burn program, and appreciated the opportunity to work alongside them to mitigate the threats of wildfire on private lands in our region. We were delighted to be joined by KVMR News Director Cláudio Mendonça and an associate, who recently aired this piece.
