Climate and climate change touch every aspect of conservation and our work at Placer RCD. Conservation practices are a tool to help build resilience in our ecosystems ability to adapt and mitigate against the worst effects of climate change. By diversifying habitat, capturing carbon, improving water infiltration and soil water carrying capacity, farmers, ranchers, forest landowners, and backyard gardeners can all play a role in improving climate resilience.
