Similar to consulting, conservation technical assistance (CTA), also known as technical assistance, provides farmers, ranchers, backyard and community gardeners, small-scale farmers, forestland owners, and more with the knowledge and tools they need to conserve, maintain and restore the natural resources on their lands and improve the health of their operations for the future. Our goal is to give our clients personalized advice and information, based on the latest science and research, to help them make informed, adaptive, and resourceful decisions to promote the productive and wise use of the land.
Conservation technical assistance is often offered in-person and is free service to all residents within the Placer RCD service area. Placer RCD (like all conservation districts), is a non-regulatory authority and, therefore, cannot regulate technical assistance provided.
Placer RCD is here to help people help the land. All residents, federal land management agencies, county and municipal government, as well as any other land manager or organizations within our service area, are partners for conservation projects, restoration efforts, educational activities, and technical assistance.
