Placer RCD’s Ag Chipping Program is funded by Placer County’s Air Pollution Control District and is operated by Placer RCD’s Chipper Crew. This Program provides free chipping services to agricultural operations within Placer RCD’s District.
Agricultural operations are in the business of farming or ranching, in that a farm or ranch is operated, cultivated, and/or managed for profit.
Each farm can receive up to 10 hours of chipping service, and no more than 4 hours of chipping per visit by the Chipper Crew. This Program will be offered from December 15th, 2025, to November 15th, 2026, or until funds are expended.
Before requesting service for your agricultural operation, it is important to read the specific information and requirements that need to be met: Ag Chipping Program Information & Requirements. Please do not submit your application unless your piles are ready to chip, as per requirements.
