PLANTING HOPE Seedling & Produce Giveaway

Planting Hope Giveaway Flyer.

Placer Resource Conservation District (Placer RCD) is hosting a Planting Hope Kit Giveaway on Saturday, October 3rd in response to challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Placer County residents are invited to attend this curbside pickup event at the Creekside Business Center (event details provided below). The Planting Hope Kits will include fresh produce, winter vegetable seedlings, and small starter pots with soil. Placer RCD hopes that this event will provide community members and their families with healthy food options and an opportunity to start their own garden. All attendees are required to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines when they arrive to pick up their kit.

Generous local businesses including The Flower Farm and Belly Rub Farms, located in Loomis, and Eisley’s Nursery, in Auburn, are providing the produce and seedlings for the event. Funding for this event is provided by the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD) through the COVID-19 Recovery Community Service Grant.
