Similar to consulting, Conservation Technical Assistance provides farmers, ranchers, backyard vegetable gardeners, community gardens, small-scale farmers, and forestland owners with the knowledge and tools they need to conserve, maintain and restore the natural resources on their lands and improve the health of their operations for the future. (Source: USDA/NRCS) Conservation Technical Assistance through the Placer RCD is also provided to backyard and balcony gardeners, small farmers, and small-scale orchard growers. Our goal is to give our customers personalized advice and information, based on the latest science and research, to help them make informed, adaptive, and resourceful decisions to promote the productive and wise use of the land.
Placer RCD (like all conservation districts), is a non-regulatory authority and, therefore, cannot regulate technical assistance provided. As a public service, we offer conservation technical assistance at no-cost.
