DESCRIPTION:This is the Placer RCD Prescribed Burning Program’s flagship workshop that has been hosted for 3+ years. Learn from local experts about the fire-dependent ecosystem\, fire effects on native plants\, unit prep and hazard mitigation\, cultural burning\, liability\, and more! This classroom workshop provides the context for WHY prescribed fire is a critical tool for land management and HOW landowners and community members can directly engage with it. Participants will be invited to a training burn for boots on the ground experience as weather allows.
